I must say that I had not really planned to post on the devblog again any time soon! Given that the development of Chronotopia: Second Skin monopolizes all of my free time, silence ended up settling. I could have certainly given news more regularly but this is already an exercice I engage in every month, be it on Kickstarter or through the team’s newsletter, and I didn’t want the devblog to merely be a copy-paste of what I already write there.

I recently came across an article that claimed that English visual novel had reached a peak since mid 2017 and were now entering a new era, thanks to increasing popularity and developers eager to push the boundaries of the medium. Well, I hate to be that person but as someone who has been in the community long enough to remember its short history, I have to say that this couldn’t possibly be farther from the truth. Let me take you a few years back and I think you’ll understand!

As we do every year, it’s time to look back on Träumendes Mädchen’s activities. Unlike usual, I would like to address this topic with a more personal angle. It’s likely going to be long and a tad messy so bear with me…
It’s been a while since I’ve talked about Chronotopia, isn’t it? I must admit it’s hard to keep the devblog up to date when I’m doing so many things at the same time. Plus, monthly Kickstarter updates work in a very similar fashion so it feels like repeating the same things twice. I’m starting to think I should make posts about specific themes. It would be more interesting that way, don’t you think?
I hope you had a good holiday! As for me, I must say I haven’t really had the chance to rest. But I wanted to go back over the big odyssey that was my recent experience with Steam. I unfortunately cannot go into detail but I still hope it will be useful one way or another.
